Cynghordy Hall Barn, Cynghordy, Llandovery

The beautiful barns at Cynghordy Hall represented a challenging conversion project.

Our client wished to create a country holiday retreat for letting to the general public. The barns situated near the main Listed Hall were part of the original farm based at the property, but changing agricultural circumstances meant that an alternative use for the buildings was sought to maintain their use & upkeep. The barns were also found to be home to a colony of bats & at least one barn owl. The conversion of the original building into 4 holiday units was a successful example of how buildings can be re-used without losing their character & identity, even the bats & owls were afforded a home within the completed property.
